About

Our Mission

We at Family Pet Project firmly believe that pets are an important member of any family and should be treated as such. Every pet deserves to be in a loving home, and we work diligently to keep pets out of shelters, off the streets, and out of the hands of irresponsible owners.

Furthermore, we aim to ensure that every pet owner has the resources they need to provide the best possible life for their pet.

frequently asked questions

  • What are the requirements to rehome a pet?
Anyone can post a pet. However, you must be at least 18 years old. You must also own the animal you wish to rehome and it must be healthy unless stated otherwise in the special needs section.
  • Can I choose who my pet goes to?
Yes, you as the current owner of the animal will choose the pets next, and hopefully forever, home. Our website gives you the capabilities to message people interested in your pet without giving them too much personal information. As a rehomer, you also have the capabilities to look at another person’s adoption application to ensure the best fit possible.
  • When I buy a pet through Family Pet Project, where does my money go?
Each person listing a pet for sale can set their own price for the pet. However, we set a minimum based on species so no animal can be listed for free. 90% of the money will go to the person rehoming the pet, and 10% goes to Family Pet Project as a service fee.
